We help business owners’ use and understand the POWER of networking! Getting out and meeting business professionals like you who are trying to grow their business is vital to business success, and what a better way to do that than to attend one of the many NETWORKING events that we offer monthly.
Advocating
We support small business issues such as interest bearing small business checking accounts; affordable health plans; leveling the playing field for small business through the “Small Business Liability Reform Act” that advocates that some government mandates be different for small vs. big business; and tax relief and reform.
Schedule a Ribbon Cutting
A ribbon cutting is the ceremonial opening of a brand-new or newly-renovated/relocated business. Because the ribbon cutting marks a very significant moment in the business’ history, this is also a great photo opportunity. The ceremony gives the business owner or manager a chance to say a few words to those gathered.
Join The Diplomat Council
Working with a council is a great way to network and meet people, be involved in an issue that interests you, and learn and practice leadership, management and teamwork skills. We encourage our members to become involved in any of our committees. As a Chamber, the participation of our members is crucial, we want to help build a more supportive business environment, for a stronger economy.

The EPHCC is not a federal government agency, and therefore has no authority to investigate how companies conduct business. Your best sources for researching a business is the Better Business Bureau and your state and local consumer protection agencies, many of which can be found here. Additionally, the Federal Trade Commission has information for consumers on how to avoid scams and rip-offs, as well as tips on other consumer topics.
The Chamber’s Advocacy staff is dedicated to bolstering economic growth through legislative involvement. By supporting initiatives that help reduce the cost of doing business through major tax reform, the Chamber champions a competitive regional business climate to compete in the national market. If we expect to be included and represented effectively, the El Paso business community must deepen relationships in Congress and maintain a high profile with key decision makers; therefore your EPHCC Advocacy team visits DC and Austin at least once a year to voice our concerns, share our many successes and maintain the El Paso business community as a priority to our legislative leaders. As our CEO shares:“It is is of high importance that we voice our concerns to our legislative leaders and also represent our business community,”. Your EPHCC will also keep you updated through our Newsletters on significant policy changes, public issue positions or any legislative news you need to know about. Subscribe here. Keep in mind that our Advocacy department exists to give YOU a voice, keep us posted about YOUR concerns, call us any day at 915.566.4066 and don’t forget to visit our Advocacy section on our main menu
