The EPHCC is a third party certifier for the State Comptroller’s Historically Underutilized Business Certification. As a benefit of members, once the business has received their certification, we will work with our client members to develop a marketing plan for that certification. Member applications can be processed in an expedited manner.
The EPHCC is a designated third party certifier for the Federal Woman Owned and Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business Certifications. As a benefit of membership, once the business has received their certification, we will work with our client members to develop a marketing plan for that certification. Member applications can be processed in an expedited manner, oftentimes in about 10 business days.
The EPHCC administers the Procurement Bootcamp of Excellence for basic and advanced contractors through a series of five annual cohorts. Each cohort is 6 sessions long, and free of charge to the attendees. The course will run from January 1, 2025-December 31, 2026.
The EPHCC administers the Countywide Technical Assistance & Small Business Grant program, ensuring that micro and small minority owned businesses in the county receive the technical assistance and training they need to grow their businesses. We are also administering $750,000 in grants to these same businesses. This program will run from January 1, 2025-December 31, 2026.
Through a partnership with the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, the EPHCC identifies innovative entrepreneurs who wish to take their inventions to market. This program will run from January 1, 2025-December 31, 2026.
