Job Title: Business Development Specialist-Advocacy
Reports To: MBDA Business Center - Project Director
Position Objective and Purpose:
The Business Development Specialist for Advocacy is primarily responsible for researching and identifying issues that will affect the minority businesses that we serve. The Advocacy specialist will prepare background documentation and present it to the Project Director and Operator for further action in order for them to effectively advocate on behalf of the small business community at a local, state and federal level in areas of legislation and contracting opportunities in order to enhance and foster small business development and growth. As a general business development specialist, they would also be responsible for identifying procurement & financing opportunities based on client needs, and sourcing transactions for these clients.
Job Title: Women’s Business Border Center Marketing Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Women’s Business Border Center Operated by the EPHCC
Position Objective & Purpose:
The individual will produce our online newsletter and assist with other communications duties as assigned, including writing, editing, media relations, audio-visual production and photography, to support the Women’s Business Center and meets all of the grant requirements. The Marketing Specialist shall be committed to exceptional service and work to implement the Communication objectives of the Women’s Business Center. The individual will also compile necessary data on women owned businesses on a local, state or federal level. The position is a 100% federal position and reports directly to the Project Director of the Women's Business Border Center and the Chief Executive Officer of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
